The new "National Cup" features teams from the amateur leagues (starting in the MySports League) and the women's leagues. It succeeds the Swiss Ice Hockey Cup.
For the men, preliminary rounds were played in September, the main rounds for the 16 qualified men's teams will start on October 23, with the final being scheduled for February 6, 2022.
On the women's side, the main round kicks off on November 21. The teams making it to the semifinal will participate in a "final four"-weekend on January 15 and 16, 2022.
