"A new import player regulation would undermine our youth development programs on all levels," Rindlisbacher states. "We could no longer offer young players prospects in our country. This would have a lasting negative on the development of Swiss ice hockey."
He thus asks the representatives of the clubs to refrain from introducing a change to the current system and to "assume their responsibility towards Swiss ice hockey and decided in its best interest."
