About a month ago, the clubs have instructed Denis Vaucher, Director of the National League and Swiss League, to talk to the players' association. Now the association, which 90 per cent of all the players are members of, has been asked to submit a proposal as to how much salary they would be willing to give up.

"It would be a very strong signal if the players would propose a uniform solution," Denis Vaucher says to the Tages-Anzeiger. ZSC Lions CEO Peter Zahner, however, chooses stronger words: "The offer must have substance," he explains without naming any numbers. "If the clubs go bankrupt, they won't get paid either."
