In the 2019-20 season, which will see Switzerland playing at the World Championship at home, the national team will once again take part in the Deutschland Cup (November 4 to 10). They will also hold their traditional December tournament in Visp this time around (December 12 to 13). They will also play six exhibition games in April and May 2020: two against Russia, two against Italy and two against Latvia.

There is also some news regarding the National League: every goal in the National League arenas now has a camera installed above it. With the video goal judge system, the referees will now have eight different camera angles available to them.

The SWHL A will also be rebranded. The highest tier league for Women will now be called Women's League. They will also make an effort to push the league more in the public eye by broadcasting the semifinals as well as the final of the Swiss Women's Hockey Cup on MySports.

As for the MySports League, this might be the first season, we get to see a league qualification round. Should one of the two playoff finalists apply for a promotion to the Swiss League and if that application will rise not flags, there will be a Best-of-7 series between a Swiss League team and a MySports League team.

On a side note, 60 selected National League games will now also be available to watch in Canada and the US on the channel Game+. This was also made possible due to the support of MySports.
