SC Langenthal has decided not to play the League Qualification against Rapperswil. There is, however, no regulation for a case like this.

The league wants to reach an amicable solution.

The Oberaargauer had applied for a promotion to the National League and reached an agreement with the league which was subject to conditions concerning their infrastructure. Since then, however, the league acknowledges that the situation has changed, as the projects for a new arena have been stopped by political processes.

A withdrawal from the League Qualification in spite of an existing promotion agreement is a novelty; there is no regulation for such a case yet. The SIHF, however, believes that it is in the interest of all parties and that they will not hand the case to the single judge. The league is looking for a mutual agreement with SC Langenthal and the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers.
