Kai Knak was drafted 46th overall by the Seattle Thunderbirds in the CHL Import Draft. “Kai is a young defenseman who can really skate, we feel that he will complement our young D core,” said General Manager Bil La Forge. “We look forward to seeing him at our training camp.”

Knak is a product of EHC Kloten's organization and recorded five goals and five assists in 38 regular-season games for their U20 team this past season.
