"My intention is to stay here for one more season because I think it's the best place to develop as a player, then we'll see" explains Lorenzo Canonica. The 18-year-old center has just finished his second season with the Shawinigan Cataractes. A season, which started well and was then marked by an injury that dragged into the playoffs as well.

Canonica, a product of HC Lugano's youth sector, is eligible for the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, which will take place in Montreal on July 7-8.
