Players who are not willing to take the Covid-19 vaccine will not be able to join the Swiss national team for the Beijing Olympics.

"The rules on the part of the organizers are clear: either quarantine for three weeks ahead of the Olympics or get vaccinated," the Director National Teams Lars Weibel tells Watson's Klaus Zaugg. "From an organizational point of view, a three-week quarantine is neither realistic nor doable for us. Anyone who wants to take part in the Olympic Games will therefore have to be vaccinated."

The Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, China, will take place from February 4 to 20, 2022. Switzerland will face Russia, Czechia, and Denmark in the group stage of the Men's hockey tournament.
