Simon Bodenmann played in three World Championships (one silver medal) for Switzerland and was able to be part of two Olympic tournaments. But, as Fischer tells Le Matin, the 32-year-old now no longer wishes to play for the national team in the future.
Fischer has, however, opened the door for some players who were banned from the team in past years, among them Denis Malgin: "Yes, Denis Malgin was one of the few players who had received a "yellow card" from the national team. But that chapter is behind us now and everyone is welcome again to join the national team."
