On the other hand, there are also five players who will make their debut in the jersey of the Swiss national team: Gauthier Descloux (Genève-Servette HC), Andrea Glauser (SCL Tigers), Roger Karrer, Jérôme Bachofner, and Marco Miranda (all ZSC Lions).

As for the coaching staff, Patrick Fischer has decided to add EHC Winterthur's head coach Michel Zeiter to their team as the second assistant coach beside Tommy Albelin. Zeiter will thus replace Christian Wohlwend, who is currently with the U20 national team.
