HC Ambrì-Piotta wins the 94th edition of the Spengler Cup

HC Ambrì-Piotta had a 2-1 lead for the majority of the game due to two goals recorded by new acquisition Alex Formenton, but Sparta Praha's Roman Horák managed to tie the game with six minutes to go. As neither team scored in overtime, a shootout became necessary.

HCAP thus ends the tournament with a perfect record, having won all games of their group and advancing to the finals with a victory over HC Davos.
