As hokej.cz reports, forward Dominik Kubalik might leave his current club Salavat Yulaev Ufa. Apparently, HC Ambrì-Piotta is an option for the young Czech.

The 21-year-old winger might not get enough ice time with Ufa as of next season, as the team has six import players on their roster. In the KHL, each team is allowed to play with five foreign players per game. Kubalik is therefore, according to hokej.cz, looking for a new club.

Apparently, he has two options: A return to his youth club HC Plzen where he has already suited up several times in Czech Republic's highest league. Or move on and join HC Ambrì-Piotta in the National League. As La Regione reports later that day, the Biancoblù wants to sign Kubalik to a three year contract. However, the Czech forward would play for Plzen and could be called up as Ambrì needs to replace injured players. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen where Kubalik will hit the ice as of the upcoming season as none of the clubs have commented about the case yet.

The forward just joined Ufa this summer and would have a valid contract until the 2018-19 season. During this past term, he was able to put up 48 points (32 goals and 21 assists) in 62 games for HC Plzen.
