The 31-year-old forward of the Vancouver Canucks is an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

According to Omar Gargantini (RSI), there are rumblings that Alex Chiasson just might be added to the import player contingent of HC Lugano for the upcoming season. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Chiasson, who made his NHL debut for the Dallas Stars back in the 2012-13 season, has been a permanent fixture in the NHL for most of the past decade. The forward was signed to the Canucks after a successful tryout at their training camp. This season, Chiasson, who was drafted by the Stars in 2009, recorded 13 goals and nine assists in 67 games.
