Although LHC's co-owner Petr Svoboda told 24 heures in early April that John Fust is going to be their head coach also next season, the rumors about a new man behind the boards keep coming up. Now, La Regione and report that Filip Pesan has reached an agreement with the club.

For the sports management of the Lions, this however is just "a maneuver of an agent seeking to promote his client by spreading false information through the media." All the more so because LHC's co-owner Petr Svoboda has never met or spoken with Filip Pesan, Le Matin reports this afternoon.

Pesan has most recently worked as head coach of the Czech national team. Before that, he spent his coaching career almost entirely with Bílí Tygři Liberec from the Czech Extraliga. First as an assistant coach (2008 to 2012), then as head coach (2015 to 2019). Between that, he worked as head coach in Czechia's second-highest league.
