EHC Olten has not extended the contracts of their two import-forwards. But they have already inked a new one for the next season.

Will Dion Knelsen join EHC Olten?

According to the Oltner Tagblatt, EHC Olten has already signed a new import-player for the upcoming season in order to replace Cason Hohmann and Bryce Gervais, whose contracts are not going to be extended. However, they will not make the deal official yet, because the player's season is not over yet.

Rumor has it that it might be SC Rapperswil-Jona's Canadian forward Dion Knelsen, the same source reports. The 30-year-old has appeared in all 57 games this season so far and recorded 26 points (eleven goals).

In an interview with the Oltner Tagblatt, EHCO's team manager Marc Grieder says that they are still looking for a younger import-forward with a good character and he might not stop there: "Every player is being called in to question. We have top performers, who didn't deliver what you could have expected. You have to be open and honest and consider possible consequences."
