EHC Kloten already had to deal without Praplan for the first three games of the 2017-18 National League season, as the 23-year-old forward participated in the Sharks' prospect tournament from September 5th until today.

As player agent Georges Müller reports, however, Praplan will not follow the invitation and return to Switzerland. He might be ready to make his season debut for Kloten in the upcoming home game against HC Davos on Friday this week.

Quite the opposite applies to GSHC's youngster Noah Rod, who aims to make his breakthrough in North America this year. Last term, the San Jose Sharks' 2014 second round draft pick already suited up in seven games for their AHL affiliate, the San Jose Barracuda (one assist).

With Genève-Servette HC before in the very same season, Rod was able to put up five goals and nine assists in a total of 31 games. The 21-year-old forward is set to attend the said training camp, along with winger Timo Meier.
