Philipp Kurashev was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. He has been playing for them since 2019, when he played his first AHL games for the Rockford IceHogs.
After one season in the AHL, he managed to get into the Blackhawks' regular lineup in the 2020-21 season. Last season, he recorded six goals and 15 assists in 67 regular-season games for them.
