National Hockey League

According to Kevin Weekes (ESPN/NHL/TSN), the Leafs are signing the 25-year-old forward to a one-year deal.

As per CapFriendly, it is a one-way contract worth $750,000. Denis Malgin has a contract in place with the ZSC Lions until the end of the 2024-25 season but the National League's transfer agreement with the NHL would allow him to leave and make his return to the NHL.

Malgin already played for the Leafs back in the 2019-20 season, albeit only for eight games. He spent the past two seasons playing in Switzerland for Lausanne HC and the ZSC Lions. Last season, he recorded 21 goals and 31 assists in 48 games and added nine goals and nine assists in the postseason games to his tally.
