Calvin Thürkauf's father will see his son play in his second NHL game

Given the Blue Jackets injury situation, it is not surprising that Calvin Thürkauf's move to the AHL was only a paper transaction. He had to be assigned to his AHL team by 3 pm ET today in order to be eligible for the AHL playoffs.

The Swiss forward got to make his NHL debut on Saturday. He was on the ice for 8:01 minutes and delivered one hit in the game against the Nashville Predators.
