Markus Åkerblom will thus go into a second season with HC Thurgau later this year. The 53-year-old joined the team last summer from Sweden. With his extension, the club wants to guarantee some continuity and continue the way they have chosen.
For Benjamin Winkler it will already be the ninth season on Thurgau's coaching staff. After he ended his career as a player in 2015 with them, he started working as a Director of Player Development and got promoted to the assistant coaching position later on.
