"I would like to continue to play," Thomas Rüfenacht tells the Oltner Tagblatt but adds that he will see how his knee will react to the strain of real on-ice practice and games. His goal is still to make a National League roster but that will also depend on his health and, of course, the market.
As for his stay in Olten, team manager Marc Grieder wanted to provide Rüefenacht with an opportunity: "I think he deserves the chance to relaunch the continuation of his career thanks to us - wherever. We are giving him the opportunity to train with us - without any ulterior motives."
Still, Grieder would, of course, like to add a player like Rüfenacht to his roster but says that they are not even close to acquiring him. Especially given the fact that the budget has technically already been used up for this season.
