While the 55-year-old French-Canadian is going to take over as head coach, current interim coach Daniel Wobmann is their new team manager.

That Dany Gélinas moves to EHC Visp comes as no surprise. The coach of HC Sierre, whose contract has not been extended, has been a serious contender for the job for a while. Now, the club confirms that they have signed Gélinas to a two-year contract.

Daniel Wobmann, who led the team as interim coach since the dismissal of Per Hånberg in December, is going to have a dual mandate next season. He will work as team manager, but also as Gélinas' assistant coach.

In addition to their new coaching staff, EHC Visp also announced that several players will stay with them for another season: Dario Burgener, Andy Ritz, Stefan Mäder, Fadri Riatsch and Valentin Pilet have all signed new one-year deals. In addition, 18-year-old Nelson Schickli is going to join the team as their third goaltender.
