As the Vorarlberger Nachrichten report, there are rumors that EHC Basel is interested in Alex Caffi. The MySports League team will play in the Swiss League next season and is thus looking to reinforce their roster.
Caffi is in possession of a Swiss players' license as he played for HC Lugano in his junior days. This season, the Italian has appeared in 38 regular-season games for VEU Feldkirch, posting a .928 save percentage.
