The 2022-23 season will be the eighth championship of Patrick Parati with HC Thurgau. The veteran defenseman had joined the Lions in 2015 from EHC Olten and has been the captain of the team since 2016.
Parati and the management agreed that he had still some fuel in the tank: "I felt that I still have at least one good season left in me and that I can continue to help the team" comments Parati, while Urban Leimbacher, team manager and CEO of HCT, believes that "Parati is an absolute leader whose qualities go far beyond his skills on the ice. For our young team, a role model athlete like Parati is of great importance".
Points-wise, this season has been great for Patrick Parati as he collected eleven points, a mark that Parati had last reached in the 2016-17 season. Moreover, the veteran defender only missed one game in this regular-season.
