In his games with Genève-Servette HC, Guillaume Asselin has definitely drawn blood: "If I could and had to decide on my own, I would go to the National League today," the import-player of HC Sierre says to the Walliser Bote. In an interview with Le Nouvelliste, however, he also says that there have been no offers so far.
This might, however, still change. As Christian Maillard, journalist for the Tribune de Genève, tells the Walliser Bote, he has gathered that GSHC is at least thinking about offering Guillaume Asselin a contract. No surprise after his six goals in four games for them. "Guillaume has done a super job," head coach Pat Emond states in the TdG.
If there won't be an offer from the National League, there won't be a problem for 28-year-old Canadian. Asselin still has a contract with HC Sierre for the upcoming season. More time to make his case, if needed.
