Christophe Fellay wants his club to have a strong identity.
HC Sierre

Over the course of the current season, HC Sierre has lined up ten players from the Valais, including veterans such as Goran Bezina, Thibaut Monnet, and Yves Brantschen. To be a team with a strong Valaisan identity in the future as well is the goal of team manager Christophe Fellay, as he tells Le Nouvelliste.

To integrate players from their own youth department, however, will be difficult in the near future. "They lost a year because of Covid-19," Fellay explains and lays out his strategy for next season: "My priority is to follow the youngsters who left the club at the age of 15, who tried their luck elsewhere and who could come back to the Valais."
