According to Arcinfo, Philip Ahlström has agreed to terms with EHC Visp and will join them for the 2021-22 season. The defenseman would thus leave HCC after having played for them for almost three seasons.
Speaking of EHC Visp, the Walliser Bote takes on the rumors regarding Evgeni Chiriaev. According to information they obtained from an "observer of EHC Olten", there is a clause in Chiriaev's contract which would allow the club to dissolve their agreement after the end of this season.
Apparently, HC La Chaux-de-Fonds is also interested in the 31-year-old forward, but they cannot compete with the offer issued by EHC Visp. The Swiss League team was, however, not yet willing to comment on the situation.
The same source also reports that Matteo Ritz has signed a two-year deal with Visp. Le Nouvelliste already reported last week that Ritz and Chiriaev might join the Swiss League team as of the 2021-22 season.
