Rasmus Tirronen arrives from the Finnish Liiga, where he was under contract with TPS Turku. EHC Visp's starter Reto Lory has been out with a lower-body injury since the beginning of the season, while Sascha Rochow recently sustained a head injury and is out indefinitely. Dennis Saikkonen, Lory's replacement, has been getting most of the starts for EHC Visp lately.

Tirronen spent the last four years in the Liiga with TPS, although, in the current season, Tirronen suited up seven times for Ässät on loan. The 30-year-old posted a save percentage of 87%.
