EHC Winterhur closes financial year with loss of CHF 25,000

As Der Landbote reports, on average, there were 900 spectators in the arena to see EHC Winterthur play. However, they had made their budget with the expectations of 1,200 paying guests per game.

If the lockdown had not happened, the loss would likely have been in a six-figure range. Thus, the expenditure (CHF 2,244 million) was lower than budgeted as the personnel expenses were not as high as expected also due to the short-time work. For the 2020-21 season, EHC Winterthur will operate on a budget of CHF 1,8 million.
