HC La Chaux-de-Fonds has decided that Burkhalter will lead the team until further notice and that Clint Thornton will stay as his assistant coach. Former HCD- and ZSC-coach Arno Del Curto has accepted to support the duo in today's practice due to the friendly relations they have since Burkhalter played for HC Davos, HCC's statement says, and: "Perhaps the beginning of a collaboration?".

HCC's press release on Del Curto

Asked by Kristian Kapp (Tages-Anzeiger) about the situation, Arno Del Curto only had this to say: "[I was just there] to support Loïc for one day, nothing more. Maybe someday another day? Maybe, maybe not."

Since they have fired their former head coach Mikael Kvarnström two weeks ago, HCC has been looking for a new head coach while team manager Loïc Burkhalter took over behind the bench. Arno Del Curto, on the other hand, has been without a job since his contract with the ZSC Lions was not extended last spring.
