After a total of 20 years with EHC Kloten, the 35-year-old has decided to put an end to his career by the end of the season.

"I think I've tortured my body enough," Romano Lemm explains his decision to the Tages-Anzeiger. "I'm still having fun playing hockey, but the decision has been made, I'll quit after this season." With that, EHC Kloten is going to lose an important character, who has, apart from two years in Lugano, spent all of his career in Kloten.

For the future, Romano Lemm has already has taken precautions. "I'm already working two afternoons in the office of a pension fund, afterwards it will be more," he says. Nevertheless, a life without hockey does not seem to be in his plans: "I will continue to do something in ice hockey. I started my coaching education two years ago."

Over the course of his career, Romano Lemm has appeared in a total of 699 games in the National League, in which he recorded 289 points (134 goals). In the Swiss League, he suited up 67 times so far and put up 31 points (15 goals).
