President Hans-Ulrich Lehmann hands over the club to a newly constituted board of directors, which will receive help from outside.

Hans-Ulrich Lehmann leaves EHC Kloten.

At the club's next general assembly, Rolf Tresch will be nominated as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mike Schälchli as Vice Chairman, Heinz Eberhart as a member of the board, and Pascal Signer as their delegate. Michael Kloter and Hans-Ulrich Lehmann will step down.

In order to give the club a broader foundation, a group of "friends of EHC Kloten" will help to cover the financial risks. Jan Schibli, former member of the Board of Directors and main sponsor of the club, will be the head of a team of like-minded people, who will guarantee to cover a possible deficit with a defined, yet unknown, upper limit.

As for their roster, the Flughafenstädter have signed the Canadian forward Éric Faille, 29, to a one-year contract. Most recently, Faille played for Banská Bystrica in the Slovakian top league. The club is now looking for a second import-player and a new assistant coach.

Moreover, EHC Kloten confirms that several players will leave the club: Alain Bircher (SCL Tigers), Serge Weber (SC Langenthal), Thibaut Monnet (?), Edson Harlacher (?), Jack Combs (?), Ryan MacMurchy (?), and Lauri Tukonen (?).
