The 21-year-old Frenchman, who is in possession of a Swiss player license, will join HCC as their backup goaltender for the remainder of the season, Le Nouvelliste reports. Before tonight's road game, HCC is trailing 0-3 in the final series against SC Langenthal.
Maxime Baud has spent this season with HC Valais-Chablais in the MySports League. Their season came to an end on Saturday when they lost Game 5 of the final series against HC Sierre in a shootout. Baud is a product of EHC Biel's youth organization.
