Stephan Anliker has decided to make way for Kämpf and is looking forward to a new chapter of SC Langenthal's history: "There is always something positive to change and one thing is certain: the club will and should focus on its core business: ice hockey and the development of new talents in and around Langenthal."
Gian Kämpf, for his part, has already stated that his strategic approaches will be "the Swiss League, development, fans, and financing". Of course, part of that is also that Langenthal will need to acquire a new arena.
As for the rest of the board of directors: Andreas Choffat was no longer available for election, thus Angela Kölliker was voted in. The current head of Marketing & Communication will step down from her position by the end of the 2018-19 season. She will then only serve as board member.
