The 26-year-old forward played in the AHL in the past two seasons, recording five goals in 37 games for the Chicago Wolves last season. "He is a hard worker, good at face-offs and likes to shoot," team manager Marc Grieder tells Marcel Kuchta. Olten has signed him to a one-year contract with the option of an additional season.
With the signing of Gervais, Olten now has enough forwards. They are close to closing a deal with a defenseman, who played in the National League last season. Grieder also states that they will leave one or two spots open for potential tryout players.
