As of now, it is not clear when the 28-year-old Finn will make his debut with Kloten. It depends on several formalities, the club writes. Sallinen's contract is valid for one month, until October 15. He replaces Tommi Santala, who will be sidelined for another four weeks due to a broken jaw.

During the last couple of seasons, Sallinen played in the KHL as well as in the Swedish Liiga. This past term, he suited up for Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk and Kunlun Red Star in the KHL. In a total of 41 games, he has put up eight goals and five assists.
