National League

Hockey Canada announced their coaching staff for the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang on Tuesday. Genève-Servette HC's Craig Woodcraft will serve as an assistant coach for them.

Woodcroft will support Willie Desjardins, who has been named head coach of Team Canada. The Canadians will face a different challenge in this Olympic year, as they will - beware any changes in the next few months - not be able to draw from their huge contingent of NHL stars this time around.

Other than Desjardins and Woodcroft, Sean Burke (General Manager), Martin Brodeur (member of the management group), Dave King and Scott Walker (assistant coaches) will be part of Team Canada's leadership group.

At their first tournament in Sochi (2017 Sochi Hockey Open), SC Bern's Mason Raymond, Andrew Ebbett, and Maxime Noreau will be part of their roster. For their second tournament in August (Tournament of Nikolai Puchkov), they have also selected several players who will play in the National League this upcoming season: Cory Emmerton (HC Ambrì-Piotta), David McIntyre (EV Zug), Jacob Micflikier (EHC Biel), Marc-Antoine Pouliot (EHC Biel), and Kevin Klein (ZSC Lions).
