Netminder Robert Mayer will mind the net of Genève-Servette HC for another four years. He has signed a new contract, which runs through the 2020-21 season.

"Robert Mayer is a netminder that allows GSHC to be a winning team," team manager Chris McSorley says in a press release about the contract extension with the 27-year-old goalie. "We are happy to have him with us for the upcoming seasons." Also Mayer himself is more than ready for future adventures in Geneva: "I appreciate living in Geneva and it's a true honor to mind the Eagles' net."

The Swiss-Czechian dual citizen joined Genève-Servette HC back in 2014. After a difficult, injury-stricken first season, Mayer played the vast majority of the games in the past two terms. Statistically speaking, he was the league's fifth-best netminder last season.
