HC Fribourg-Gottéron has finally found their new head coach. As the club announces, they have agreed to terms with Canadian Mark French on a two-year contract.

French acted as head coach of the Calgary Hitmen in the North American Western Hockey League (WHL) in the past three years. However, he also has experience at the pro level, as he led the Hershey Bears (AHL) for several seasons as well as KHL's Medvescak Zagreb during 2013-14.

The 46-year-old Canadian will thus take over behind the Dragons' bench from Larry Huras, whose contract had not been extended by the club.
