As EV Zug announces, they have signed Carl Klingberg to a two-year contract extension. He will thus stay in Zug until the end of the 2018-19 season.

His new deal includes an out clause for the NHL and the KHL. However, he will only be able to make use of it after the 2017-18 season.The Neue Zürcher Zeitung had already reported last week that the Swede would extend his tenure with the Bulls. The 25-year-old, who joined EV Zug from KHL's Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod last summer, managed to record 17 goals and 18 assists in 63 games this season.
