The Corriere del Ticino already reported in March that Cereda, who already worked as an assistant coach as well as a youth coach for the Biancoblù's organisation, would take over from Gordie Dwyer, but HCAP decided not to make changes during the season.

Cereda coached the HCB Ticino Rockets this past season and was supposed to lead the NLB team for another season. However, HC Ambrì-Piotta stresses in their press release that they are committed to finding a suitable replacement for Cereda.

Moreover, they also announce that goalie coach Pauli Jaks will be responsible for the netminders of the entire organisation. Furthermore, former assistant coach Diego Scandella will coach HCAP's U20 team from here on out. He will be assisted by Vasco Soldini.
