According to the newspaper, it is very likely that Desjardins is interested in the coaching position behind the Grenats' bench. Mike Gillis, currently a member of the board of directors of Genève-Servette HC, is already connected to Desjardins as he left Vancouver shortly after Desjardins joined the Canucks.

As for Desjardins, it would be his first coaching position in Europe. Before his engagement in Vancouver, the 60-year-old Canadian served as head coach of the Texas Stars in the AHL. With this team, he was able to win the Calder Cup in the 2013-14 season.
