"He's not happy in North America, wants to play for us," Hans-Ueli Lehmann reveals to the Blick, but adds at the same time: "We cannot pay him, and he does not fit in into our strategy."

As Berra's agent Andy Rufener tells the same source, nothing is decided yet: "Everything is still open, but clearly, like the way it goes now in North America it does not make sense anymore."

According to the Blick, HC Ambrì-Piotta as well as HC Fribourg-Gottéron are supposedly interested in the future services of Berra. Whereas Ambrì is looking for a replacement for Sandro Zurkirchen, Fribourg-Gottéron is not satisfied with the performances of Benjamin Conz.

This term thus far, Reto Berra has only suited up for the Florida Panthers' AHL-affiliate team in Springfield, for which he had 20 appeareances and posted a goal against average (GAA) of 0.918.
