The rumors are indeed true. American forward Nathan Gerbe will join Genève-Servette HC and has signed a three-year contract with the Grenats. Gerbe is expected to arrive in Geneva within the next couple of days.

The forward had already signed a deal with GSHC this summer which was then dissolved when he joined the New York Rangers. However, Gerbe was placed on waivers by the Rangers one week ago and refused to report to the AHL. Thus, his contract was dissolved.

From 2013 to 2016, Gerbe played for the Carolina Hurricanes of the NHL. Overall, the 29-year-old American has played 403 NHL games in his career thus far, scoring 142 points (61 goals).
