As HC Fribourg-Gottéron announces, Gerd Zenhäusern has decided to take on a new role within the organisation. Starting October 1, he will take over as Head of Development, a position which was previously held by Dany Gelinas.

"I've been working for a long time on developing the new sports section of the club with Christian Dubé and his team," says Zenhäusern. "It was immediately clear to me that this position matches my skills and my desire for a long-term commitment to HC Fribourg-Gottéron."

Thus, the 44-year-old, who took over as head coach of the Dragons from Hans Kossmann in October 2014, will have his last game behind the bench of HCFG on September 24.

As for his replacement, the club says that the search is currently ongoing and that Slava Bykov will definitely not take over for Zenhäusern. Blick, however, seems to have already an idea who the next coach will be. According to the newspaper, Larry Huras will return to the NLA and lead Gottéron for the rest of the season. Apparently, his arrival will be announced on Monday.
