Beat Forster will remain part of EHC Biel's organization even after his retirement. He will work for the team in a different capacity. Forster has been part of the Seelanders' team since 2017.
As for the reason for his retirement, Forster had this to say to Blick about his decision: "It is the right time for me to draw a line at the end of the season. Ultimately, it was a process that has now come to an end. I can see the end of my road and look back with joy."
Forster is a product of HC Davos' organization and played his first professional games for them. In 2005, he then joined the ZSC Lions. He returned to the Landwassertal in the 2008-09 season and stayed with them until he joined Biel.
Forster won six National League championship titles, suited up in seven World Championships for Switzerland, and won two Spengler Cups with HC Davos. As of today, he has appeared in over 1,100 National League games, recording 390 points.
