Making his first steps in men's hockey this season, Rafael Meier will likely get to do so more in the future. EHC Kloten has signed the forward to his first professional contract, spanning the next three years.
"The fact that we can integrate Rafael Meier, the latest player to be developed by EHC Kloten, into the first team shows that the work of the entire junior program is outstanding across all levels", the head of the youth department, Martin Büsser, notes.
Meier joined Kloten in 2017. The 18-year-old has been splitting time between the National League, the Swiss League (with HC Thurgau), and the U20 this season.
