Signed in September as an injury replacement by Genève-Servette HC to a contract valid until October 24, Henrik Haapala was able to convince GSHC's rivals Lausanne HC to offer him a deal until the end of the season. Haapala is the Lions' eighth import under contract. Michael Raffl, however, is dealing with a long-term injury.

As known, LHC's team manager John Fust had been looking for a while for an import capable of helping their offense. "Henrik is an offensive winger. He's already gained good experience in our league, proving that he can perform well" states Fust.

In nine games with the Grenats, Haapala scored three goals and collected seven assists while averaging 13:46 minutes on the ice per game.
