The 20-year-old will apparently return to Switzerland to play professional hockey.

One Swiss player in, one out in Halifax - the Mooseheads just selected Kloten-junior Yannik Ponzetto in the CHL Import draft, but will not be able to count on Attilio Biasca anymore.

"Attilio's going to sign with the pro team in Zug, Switzerland", the club's GM Cam Russell tells SaltWirte. "He's always kind of had an agreement with that organization and that's how it works with a lot of players there. It was tough for him. He really thought about it but at this point in his career, he felt the best move for him was to play pro in Switzerland."

Biasca spent most of his junior years in EV Zug's organization, even making some steps in men's hockey with the EVZ Academy. In 2020, however, he was selected in the CHL import draft by the Halifax Mooseheads and, after some delay, moved overseas. This past season, he served as captain of the QMJHL-team.
