A few weeks after winning the National League championship with Genève-Servette HC, Linus Omark has decided to rejoin his formative club despite a contract with GSHC running until 2024. Omark had already left GSHC once to play with Luleå HF for the 2021-22 season before returning to Geneva to honor the second year of his contract with the Grenats.

Team manager Marc Gautschi would not stand in the way of Omark's return home: "From a sporting point of view, Linus' departure is undoubtedly a loss, but we have nevertheless accepted his wish to let him go home. As a club, we have a social responsibility towards our players."

In two seasons with Genève-Servette HC, Omark stepped on the ice 129 times, scoring 45 goals and collecting 94 assists. With 68 points in 70 games, Omark has greatly contributed to the title won by the Grenats this season as he was the most prolific player in the team.
